We are proud that all of our taxis are accessible to persons in wheelchairs and we do our best to ensure that disabled persons are, and are made to feel socially inclusive. However, it should be noted that drivers may decline to accept a fare if the wheelchair involved cannot be safely accommodated, restrained and facing rearwards in the taxi. It has been proved to be intrinsically unsafe to transport persons in wheelchairs facing sideways and unrestrained.

A fold-down ramp provides convenient and dignified entry for wheelchair users and a built-in securing facility holds chairs in place throughout the journey. The elderly or those with moderate walking difficulties can make use of the intermediate step and swivel-out seat at the nearside passenger door. Movement inside the passenger compartment is made easier thanks to easy-grip grab handles which are highlighted, along with seat edging, in colour-contrast material to help people with impaired vision. For hearing-aid users, an induction loop is incorporated in the intercom system of the TX2 taxis.
